Prosobranch Pond Snails are a snail that are seen throughout the southern portion of The United States. They are commonly found in the Ozarks portion in the state of Missouri. In my case, I was visiting the Springfield Plataea portion. The creek name was “Wilson Creek” and they were seen throughout the moss like plants of the stream. This was later in the fall season so there were no fish to be seen because of the cold but the snails were still out grazing on the remaining plants and detritus.
